The weather has finally started to cooperate. It only managed to get up around 75 - I think. It wasn't blistering hot, so we decided that it was time the dogs went to the park. We're pretty lucky, we live by a good sized park. Normally there's only about 10 cars there. Tonight there was probably around 50. This is a good thing, more dogs to tire our dogs out.
We also got our exercise. Odie is still kind of ADD and doesn't stick to the path. Or he runs too far ahead. A couple of times we had to sprint to keep up with the little bugger.
I know it's a successful outing when Odie is asleep on his couch and Rock is next to me snoring. It's funny how a dog his size (Shepard lab mix) can curl up so small.
We also got them a small wading pool a couple of weeks ago. This is fairly entertaining to watch. The pool is blue with brightly colored fish printed on the bottom. At first Odie would not go in, but then he saw Rock splashing around trying to eat the fish, he had to get in and see what the fuss was about. If you put the hose in so it creates a current, they get even wilder. BIG NOTE: Don't let them do this when you're home from work at lunch. Lots of splashing is involved.
And I am very happy to report that Rock is now a frisbee catching machine. If you can throw it, he's more than willing to catch it.
Ok, puppy adoration is over for the night.
